A Summary of The Fellows Program from Gospel Partners Media

Todd Friel with Gospel Partners Media announced a significant change in their approach to spreading the Gospel, in their recent YouTube video titled “This is the Biggest Change We’ve Made.” To maximize the GPM ministry for God’s glory they plan to add qualified men and women to speak into specific areas of interest. They are calling it a Fellows Program and have described it as “a Christian version of the Daily Wire sans all the politics”. This change shows their commitment to outreach and providing relevant and practical information.

Launching the Fellows Program

Gospel Partners Media, founded in 2002 and based in Atlanta, GA, is known for biblically sound content. The ministry’s productions currently include “Wretched TV”, “Wretched Radio”, “Road Trip to Truth”, and “Transformed” all aimed at tackling contemporary issues, teaching theology, and providing spiritual encouragement. The announcement of this new Fellows Program gives a glimpse into GPM’s new formats, platforms, cutting-edge technology, and media trends to reach more for the glory of God.

The Fellows Program is launching with eight men. Todd Friel did state that they are not against adding a woman to this group of men if they find someone qualified to teach on a specific subject. The eight fellows introduced themselves in the launch announcement video but here is a quick look at them, their current roles, and the specific area they will be diving into with this collaboration.

Dr. Jason Lisle (who I refer to as ‘My favorite Astrophysicist’) sums up this collaboration beautifully when he said, “I think it’s wonderful when God brings together Christians with different strengths, different areas of expertise and we work together for the glory of God.”

I highly recommend watching the whole video, I’ve inserted it below, to hear what these men have to say. Phil Johnson and Ken Ham both make appearances to support this ministry as well. And seem really encouraged by the path of the Gospel Partners Media Ministry.

I’m excited to see how this initiative plays out and expect some excellent resources to come out of this collaboration. How about you? Do you think the Fellows Program is the right way for Gospel Partners Media to direct resources? How do you feel about the fellows that have been chosen?
